Young Women in Public Affairs (YWPA) Award

THE PROGRAM

The Zonta International Young Women in Public Affairs (YWPA) Award program offers local Club awards of $500 (winner) & $250 (runner-up), an award of $500 at the District level, and five awards of $1,000 each at the International level.

ELIGIBILITY

Pre-university or pre-college women students, age 16-20 as of March 2008, are eligible to apply for the Zonta International YWPA Award.

GOAL

To recognize pre-university or pre-college women students’

§         commitment to the volunteer sector,

§         evidence of volunteer leadership achievements, and

§         dedication to the advancement of the status of women

and thus to encourage more women students to enter careers in public affairs, public policy and community organizations.

APPLICATION DEADLINE:  Saturday, March 15, 2008

APPLICATIONS

Applications are available from your school Guidance Counselors’ Office or school website and may be photocopied or downloaded from www.zonta-tallahassee.org under “Service Projects” and must be submitted to:
